Okay, can we talk about Lizzo for a second? Anyone else love her? Sometimes we do her song ‘Scuse Me in my dance class on Saturdays and I always GET DOWN whenever it is played. It’s one of my favorite songs right now.
I’ve noticed that on this blog I am quick to proclaim a woman who owns her body, owns her confidence, feels comfortable in her own skin and is going after her dreams as a QUEEN and I mean it. I need more representation of all types of women out here in the world killing it because it helps me, a woman who is only learning how to not hate herself and even sometimes love herself, feel more emboldened to confidently pursue my dreams, not just in business but even in the clothes I wear and how I present myself to the world. I will gladly overuse the word queen because it’s the best word I can use to celebrate women like Lizzo, Gabi, Nadia, Ashley Ford and so many more women that I admire.
Woah, that got deep. I just came here to say that Lizzo recently released the music video for Juice and I am totally obsessed. Watch it!
And, if you haven’t watched the video for ‘Scuse Me yet either, might as well give it a watch, too. I love it and I love ALL THINGS LIZZO.
